mistaken identity

I get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I get some special recognition of my existence while on photo assignments. In schools, particularly, you are often treated like royalty. Only problem in this case was that it wasn't my name on the board when I walked into the classroom at Jefferson Middle School. Upon discovering that I was not a certain "Mr. Ryan Wood" the teacher hurriedly wiped away that imposter's name and replaced it with my own. Maybe Ryan believes that if they know I'm the one coming in to take pictures they'll shut us out. If they get the impression that Ryan's the one to grace their presence they'll dust off the red carpet, pop the cork on the vintage wine and kill the fattened pig. Now that's some clout ;)

very eclectic chic

I recently spent about an hour on a fashion shoot with Eric Sian, the co-owner of a local clothing store. I can't take credit for the concept for this photo (it was Eric's idea), and I have to say it's refreshing when the subject at least attempts to appear to be having fun by suggesting ideas: like becoming an additional mannequin in the store window. I asked Eric about his sense of fashion and he described it as "very eclectic chic."
